Too much precious time is being wasted on the sea-going fisherfolks. They have proved overtime, to present themselves as lawless and are set in their ways to do what they believe, is the right thing to do. Fisherfolks are usually suspicious of government officials. If they will not allow their industry to be regulated they will be the losers. Foreign boat owners with powerful and more sophisticated gadgets will sweep the ocean floor clean of all fishes. They will then have little or nothing to catch when they go out to sea. Will their elders please drum some language into their heads.

Promote the dangers of consuming fish containing the renmnants of explosives and people will stop buying.
Send a task force to check and arrest people who sell fish that are not wholesome for consumption. Impose prison terms that are harsh and the canker will stop.
Prosecute anybody including foreign entities so Ghanaians will know no one is exempted.
