This security and personal breach is worse and far serious than armed robbery and lynching. For goodness sake, why should there be warning or attention drawing in this type of matter. What do the laws say? Madam CEO just go ...

NOBODY gets PROSECUTED for ANYTHING in Ghana except if they are insignificant. Even people known to have stolen Millions are walking free and you are going to prosecute for Data Breach?

Saying things that you can never do doesn't make you look good. I am not condoning any crime but there are equally more serious crimes in our society and these people are still walking free our streets.

  • Kwasi Mensah 6 years ago

What is more serious than your name, date & place of birth, residential address, bank account number, etc being sold/peddled and publicised for anybody to see?
Have you thought about what micreants could use all these for?

You are an idiot. On a platform like this why can't you say something positive with the tiny brain you have. I know you don't have that much.

  • jabthahxy 6 years ago

why is the commission now taking action?it means state institutions have not been working for so many years. If they were really working, the number of defaulting institutions will not be that many.

CEOs to face 2-year jail terms? Since when? That is not in the data protection act. The DPC cannot make up rules as and when it suits them.

    Why send them to jail.

Ghana needs the money. First time offenders should be given "points" and second time offenders should be fined an amount commensurable to the offence committed.

  • Tawiah 6 years ago

Madam, it is smart way to rather prosecute them instead of warning them because it can be used as an avenue to raise money for the state, so stop warning them because that opportunity wouldn't come again. You probably think b ...
