  This is not enough. Taxes on all goods should be listed and published to the public so that shippers will know how much they are to pay on items imported or exporting. How can import duties on goods shipped from the same producer by different importers differ from one custom inspecter to the other? Again, duties on goods at the Tema harbor differs from that of Takoradi harbor. How possible?

  Do we still need clearing agents at the ports? They are parasites causing financial loss on importers and must be eliminated from our ports. There are no clearing agents at the ports of Europe and the US and so why in Ghana.
