Our main problem in Ghana is HUMAN RESOURCES..we have the so called experts , well respected , luminaries, etc but when it comes to the crunch they are found wanting , if you do not have anything to say why not shut your mouth? I know someone who was arrested in the 1970s as a ghost worker , so the phenomenon is not new , it is very complex so before you comment on it , you have to be very thoughtful.,governments have fought this canker in the past but the criminal is always ahead in tactics .; biometric may not solve this canker completely because some teaches and nurses who are now resident outside have come in to do the biometric registration and with their collaborators are still collecting salaries

the exercise has brought stress and sad emotions to genuine workers who are affected by wrong data input by staff of controller and finance ministry. if controller fails to input ones ssnit number on his or pay slip or if controller fails to input the right ssnit number on a worker who just received his or her first pay last month and the following month u declare the person as ghost it is very wicked exercise. I think this exercise is a rush and it didn't consider the genuine workers who are affected. the finance minister aught to reconsider this before this results into violence and curses.

See Ghanaians and their corrupt tendencies. The govt issued ultimatum in February that those who haven't registered with ssnit biometric should do so and that by April ending such names will be taken out. Don't let us support blindly for people to steal. If you are on scholarship you should have registered.
