Sad thing is this cannot be done in UK, the home for the Vodafone brand. Why is our system so weak and favors foreigners more than locals?

No my friend,it is even sadder that a small company like that has been able to corner the market in Ghana.Don't get angry that the company is doing what is right for its investors.

Until we help our local companies to become strong an stop vilifying them these things would continue to happen. Anytime a Ghanaian company begins to emerge, Ghanaians and the media in particular go after them with the slightest issue. How many times do you hear BBC or VOA lambasting companies in the UK or USA? But here it is always attacking. See what some of them did to Subah, Tobacco, and the like. Meanwhile these companies employ Ghanaians and would rather stick with them than foreign companies who easily dispense with Ghanaians. Lets help our own to succeed and our jobs will be secure

Why do companies keep embroiling themselves in avoidable litigations over redundancies? The procedures are clearly spelt out in the labour law - Act 65. Is it corporate arrogance or blockheadedness?
