If Ghanaians think that the World Bank is the panacea to the economic problems in the country then we would be deceiving ourselves. What is the University of Ghana School of Economics there for? What dissertations are people at the School of Economics presenting for their degrees? Are the macroeconomic textbooks just lying idle in our libraries? Economics isn't rocket science. Akufo-Addo must ensure that activities of the school of Economics University of Ghana as well as the University of Ghana Business School have a more direct effect on government policy.
