DCEs must engage with the wider community in doing a Sponsored silence, runs and bring and share bake s, coffee mornings to raise money for good cause. Local businesses should donate money or raffle prizes to be auction to raise money. If they are able to do this every three months surely they would have money in the kitty for community developments like building apublic toilets by themselves without the involvement of the Govt.do

If a DEC does not know how to generate money for his community he would be wise to say so and this is what this guy did. I have given him food for thought to work on.

Hmmm not only our DCEs to be taught how to raise money but it should include all the ministers and their ministries.

Accountability is also important. I have seen district chiefs executives who had worked and gone on retirement without owning a one bedroom house, but work as district chief executive for only 8 years and has built 3 separate houses. Market toll collectors amass wealth here and there. Accountability is the key. If I am paying taxes to be pocketed by one individual, of course I will be reluctant to pay the tax. Tell me why most Ghanaians want to work for the customs, the IRS and revenue department. The success of NPP will depend on its ability to close these loopholes and the signal that we cannot take government property for free.

OMG!!! SO NPP OF ALL PARTIES DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH COMPETENT PEOPLE TO BE APPOINTED AS DCEs!!! OMG!!! SO SECOND, THIRD OR LESSER CLASS CANDIDATES HAVE TO BE APPOINTED AT A COST: MORE TRAINING OR CAPACITY BUILDING!!! SO ALL THESE 110 OR SO MINISTERS AREN'T ENOUGH TO OFFER EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP GUIDANCE TO THESE LOCALISED MMDCEs; OMG!!! OK; IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE MONEY FOR THE MMDAs, WHY DON'T YOU JUST CONTRACT THEM TO MAKE & SHARE SUCH REVENUE(S) WITH THEMMDAs? OR JUST LIKE NDC; YOU ARE GOING TO EXPENSIVELY EMPLOY THEORETICAL ENTREPRENEURS TO LECTURE THE MMDCEs ON HOW TO GENERATE
REVENUE? ASSHOLE NDC & NPP; APUUU!!!
