A chief complained and accused the Evil Invincible Forces of forcibly takin over the facility, mismanaging it which in part led to this disaster. You people called for his head. Now the NDC is calling for action and giving suggestions the same way you used to do. Instead of listening, you are talking about stolen cars and other nonsense. Don't tell me your party is equally incompetent (like the NDC was tagged), that with all the powers vested in them now they can't arrest and prosecute the 'said' thieves. Be sensitive rather than partisan to national issues and tragedies of this nature.

To make demands when one has no means to enforce the demands, makes one look weak, ridiculous and foolish. The Kintampo tragedy is a national tragedy. We all have to ensure that such an incident never occurs again. However, the solution is not for a party that has just been thrown out of office after eight years in control of national affairs, to pontificate and make hypocritical demands. The demands they are making consist of actions that a proactive government could have undertaken, while in office, which their government failed to do. Now, out of office the minority is full of ideas. What a pathetic bunch of hypocrites. The minority, has without expecting, been thrown into opposition, and the members have no clue what is expected of them, and like kids, they want to be seen to be doing something, in order to appear relevant. I believe that the government will do what is right to protect Ghanaians and tourists, not because of the demands of a noisy but ineffective opposition, but because it's the right thing to do.

The fact is management of the place under NDC was better as compared to the inexperience of the NPP thugs, invisible forces who are now managing the site. How would any one in their right sense allow these kids to swim in the river when a storm is gathering? That is where the blame should be. As for accidents they occur, that is why we call them accidents but the safety measures we put in place against accidents is what makes us prudent or reckless managers.
