The new Minister must tread cautiously. It is not the immediate Government that sought for the advice of PWC. The Kufuor Govt was the one that brought in PWC to first help with a Diagnostic Study and then to advice on the way forward. That line of action was happily continued by the NDC Govt. Why the Minister must tread cautiously is because the blame is always pushed unto a so-called "Political Interference" and unto Politicians. Politicians did not carry their luggage on the aircraft daily. Politicians did not use the airline to cart their shops goods. Politicians did not determine whether the aircraft was full or not. Politicians did not stop the staff from doing their "Reconciliation" stuff. Politicians did not carry their relatives every day on the aircraft for free. Politicians did not stay at the most expensive hotels as Pilots and Stewards on the aircraft when the airline went out of Ghana, etc, etc! And it is NOT. Politicians who run down the airline! It really needed a surgeon's knife. I learnt the Minister who got the airline finally liquidated was a Surgeon. Bravo to him!!! That Minister finally took us away from the "Sacred Cow" mentality!!! Madam Minister, take relevant notes from your predecessors.

Just this week the Nigerian Government took over the reins of its biggest failing Carrier, Arik Airways.
The biggest Airline in Nigeria carrying over 50% passenger load in the country as for the past years being struggling with delays (sometimes staff begging passengers not to beat them), suspension of service, high debts to suppliers and 4 month non-payment of staff (how can a pilot land a plane safely on a hungry stomach).
West Africans running an airline is like asking a truck-pusher from Kasoa Market to drive the Eurostar from London, through the Eurotunnel to Paris.
One word 'Disaster'!

employee: drivers, clerks, accountants, pilots, etc.
I know these traders luggage were not charged.
Passengers who had more luggage has to see
the airways driver to tell him the number of
luggage he/she possesses and you would pay
certain amount. For, say, you have 10 bags, you
will pay for 2 bags money to the AIRWAYS. The
rest go into who the driver collects for. Out
of the 8 bags you will pay 4bags money to the
driver. You are set to Fly to GHANA. In other to
run with profit, it needs much visibility study.
It must be partisan affair. Employment must be
inter-political composition, as watch dogs, that
will create whistle-blowers. GHANA NEEDS A
CARRIER, SHE HAS TO COMPETE IN THE AVIATION
SECTOR. Ghana is in the AGE OF RENAISSANCE.
