Government enterprises/factories don't work, Ghana needs incentives and an environment that grows the private sector. NPP needs a Trump-like message to the rust belt in the US - where there have been declining industries, closed factories and high unemployment. That is how you flip NDC regions to NPP regions and that is how Trump won. It is not rocket science, you listen to the people and tailor a message to their needs.

It should be noted that during the 2012 General Elections the president JD Mahama was seen sitting in one of such ambulances entering the STL company office at Djowolu. This STL as confirmed by the current Interior Minister Prosper Bani was contracted to transmit the 2012 General Elections results to the Electoral Commission. All to note that these ambulances may not be carrying sick people so our party agents should insist that they are inspected.

It's not in the constitution of any party in Ghana that after four or eight year mandate of the president his vice automatically becomes the next presidential candidate. Nobody said that the factory was to be operating at full blast from the onset, and thus create the anticipated 7,000 direct and indirect jobs at once. The president said that the government was getting $24 million dollars from India to support farmers go into large scale sugarcane production with will employ thousands of outgrowers to feed the factory on a regular basis. The factory has been built, the money for the farmers has been secured and thus, the irrigation and farmer support schemes are set to be implemented, so what is the fuss about this NPP jealous-filled propaganda? They are always deceiving the people by spreading falsehood to incite hatred for the government. Yet these are people who throughout their 8 year period in government, built only one small cassava factory at Arena, but could not sustain it, leading to its collapse long before they went out of government. The Sugar factory is set to operate with sustainable supply of raw materials through carefully planned schemes that will be sustainable over a long period of time. The people of Komenda and surrounding areas only need to be patient and follow the plans put in place to support them and create sustainable jobs for them, unlike the failed NPP Ayensu factory which was rushed and haphazardly executed. Shame on the NPP dooom-wishers. The $24 million has been secured and all shall be well.
