Really we have a president who is detached from realities. With all the soaring prices agro chemicals and other farming inputs, John mahama is ignorantly or hypocritically alluding to growth in the agricultural sector. Where is the growth when cocoa production is sinking? Where is the growth when yam production is plummeting resulting in high market prices? Where is the growth in agric when a finger of plantain is costing ghc2.00? How can the president be talking about growing agricultural and in another breath his government has imposed taxes on common cutlasses? Is this a president we can take serious?

Pres JM is doing his bit. Ghanaians must work hard and support the efforts of Govt. We like free things too much. Too much chemicals is bad for our health. We must find cheap natural way of improving our soils

Kweks you should understand that the farmers are not asking for anything free. If a government can impose tax on a simple farm tool like a cutlass, what incentive is government giving to entice the youth and those already in the industry? Even the wealthy nations of America are providing subsidies to their farmers. You refusal to see mahamas failure in agriculture is clouded by your blind support for ndc which has failed the farmers.

If agric sector grew at 7.8 in 2011 and grew at 2.4 or 2.5 in 2015, it simply means a DECLINE IN GROWTH. Mahama does not know ECONOMICS. Akufo-Addo is talking about DECLINE in growth of the agric sector. Mahama is simply a pr ... read full comment

Akufo-Addo is talking about DECLINE in growth of the agric sector. Mahama is simply a propagandist. Propaganda cannot produce prudent economic policies to move the country forward. Mahama is desperate because defeat is staring at him and NDC come December 7, 2016.
