(a) service charge of 0.75percent
(b) commitment charge of 0.5percent per annum
Seriously? Come on guys? Is president Manaha sleeping on the job?
These charges will eventually be passed onto the already-over burdened Ghanaian consumers.
Does the NDC government care about the burden Ghanaians are going through?
This is BULLSHIT and a scam being foisted on Ghana and I distaste it strongly.

ECG has to be privatised, the company is where it is today because of bad customer care. If you have a problem on your meter and you call they will never come until you give them transportation or you give them money. How lon ... read full comment

I agree that ECG must be privatised. What the problem is here is the naked robbery by our own government. How can our own government go and borrow money on behalf of the people of Ghana and upsell that loan to a state organisation by charging things like "service fee" and "commitment fee"? This is pure naked robbery and it is so wrong! Ghanaians are under so much pressure already and one expects our government not to further burden us with these frivolous charges. These charges are cost that the EC will factor into its operational expenses and pass it on to we the consumers. Commonsense people, commonsense is lacking in how we do things.
Am not a fun of NPP but am disgusted at how the NDC manages things are ignores the plight of the people they are governing.
