This is a perfect example of the numerous economic crimes foreigners and their companies are perpetrating against Ghana and which have led to the nation losing trillions of dollars.An example must be set now.The government should immediately suspend the operations of the companies involved in the illegal exportation of the gold bullions.The people involved, both Ghanaians and foreigners, should be arrested,investigated and put on trial.The companies' books should be thoroughly audited to know the extent of their crimes and the appropriate sanctions imposed on them.I will recommend that they should pay penalties,their foreign owners deported and banned from doing business in Ghana.

Did Ghanaians get to know who owned that Gold, how it escaped our Customs Authorities notice in the first place, and what ultimately became of it?
The Corruption continues unabated in myriad of forms. Ghana is still being stripped of all its Wealth, and only God knows when that would stop and who would lead the charge to stop it.

How can we allow a principal commodity such as gold to be exported without proper authorisation? How do we tax such undeclared exports? Goodness knows how much revenue has been lost to the state over the years from such fraudulent activity.
The licences of these fraudulent exporters in the mining industry must be withdrawn forthwith and they should be banned from mining in our country.
