There are myriad deficiencies in the story. There are even more deficiencies in the airline community in Ghana.
There is no 'industry' to revive - the investments made, and wasted, to date, on airline efforts has not resulted in a developed and mature airline industry. It is fragmented and chaotic - and dysfunctional and unprofitable.
Two points: 1. PWC is more corrupted than the GoG. Their 'advice' is worthless. PWC has extorted more money from the GoG and the people of Ghana - than can be counted.
2. Emirates is an excellent example of how well the customer or passenger can be treated by a airline. However, that level of service MUST be subsidized by their government - MORE than half of their operating costs are subsidized.
Emirates Airlines cannot help with a FOR PROFIT airline - because they do not know how. They cannot operate their own airline without government assistance.
A national airline for Ghana is a BAD IDEA!

Concentrate your money on solving Dumsor big time. South Africa 100 % state owned and Kenya Airways 30 % state owned are making big losses every year. SAA would need a bail out of $ 400 million form the South African government. No one remembers the last time they made a profit. We have more priorities as a country Ghana now. Emirates are doing well due to investment in modern fue efficient air planes, free fuel subsidy biggest cot driver in the industry, location and attractiveness of the airport to tourists , excellent service given to clients etc D we as Ghana have some of the attributes I say a big No. Having an airline for national feel good is long gone,

Ghana has had two national airlines go bankrupt within the last ten years. Why do we need a new airlines for? Interference from politicians as well as the entrenched fraud within government enterprises will not make any airlines turn profitable. Mahama is just looking for ways to invest his loot which he has stashed in UAE.
