"Monkey de work Baboon de chop" Tagged "Kokoasefo" No one in his right mind would send his child to the jungle to engage in cocoa farming in Ghana, It is hard work that involves several risk factors but in the end the gov pays peanuts for the produce and sell it abroad for US dollars. We would not be troubled if the money is used to benefit some of our children, rather it ends up in individuals pockets and this has been the trend since independence. Ghana was the leading producer and the richest in Africa during Nkrumah's time, after Nkrumah there hasn't been a gov. in Ghana, and farmers has been ignored, even ridiculed. Look at the scandals that has rocked the judiciary, the corruption in the executive arm of gov would be ten times worst and that is why I say there is no gov in Ghana. One can easily predict the death of the cocoa industry unless Anas finding leads to total clean up of the corruption in the country.
