Right now, the price for a kilowatt is about $0.14. At that price, the facility should pay for itself in about 15 years. So, with a useful life of 30 years, we can all see the benefit.
Other benefits include:
-- No water issues
-- No natural gas to import from unstable places
-- No control by Nigeria, or by another country
-- No foreign exchange required to
pay for imported fuel/gas
-- No oil of gas required as batter.
Way to go!
ITEM: Every energy project ought to have a component solar panel sub-project, as part of the mix, for sustainable development.
Further, the government should without further delay set measurable targets for solar power/systems, region-by-region!
