We need contingency measures in place to forestall such a situation arising in future.
We need a proper national energy plan aiming at diversifying our energy sources. The mix should include the existing hydroelectricity and thermal energy sources, as well as solar, wind turbine, biomass and wave power. This requires accurate forecasting of our short, medium and long-term energy needs.
We can deal with dumso once and for all. Let us get on our thinking caps!!
