Good idea but the money will never be used for it purpose it will still do into individual pocket , please dont let them be squeezing people for money when they can do anything

The AMA is not cash strapped; their problem is mismanagement, stealing, over staffing, misplaced priorities and they just don not use their heads in a business like manner. If you want money you have to provide quality service which is acceptable to your customers that is the people of Accra. However, if you do things anyhow, gloss over your responsibilities how do convince any one to give you more money. Just take a look at the lorry parks, dirty unkempt markets,blatant stealing going on at the markets and parks then I can tell you there leader problem at The AMA. The AMA needs quality leadership not more money!

Secondly, the AMA should enforce the rules on its books for tax collection, provide the required services with some form of regularity to reinforce payments. Documentation of tax payers are all essential

AMA is awash with cash, but for those who don't know it yet, the mayor is a major party financier and AMA is the party's golden goose

I live in one of the cities in the US , the city always increase property taxes to meet infrastructure needs of the city. But everything is made transparent at the city council annual meeting and city magazines.
Therefore, through education everyone is aware of the rates increase.
