KNUST failed to rusticate and report to the police a female student who beat up her roommate; the lecturers have been bought. It has been said that many lecturers lack teaching methodologies. What should be the minimum requirement when recruiting lecturers into a tertiary institution? Is it a masters degree or a PhD with a course in education??
Professors in tertiary institutions must read GES directives. There are many important and useful GES directives which would help them.
GES banned all forms of corporal punishment in Educational institutions but there are reports that some tertiary institutions are still carrying out this practice. Asking students to kneel down and so on.
Lecturers in tertiary institutions must recognize the fact that students in these institution are adults.

"there is no country in the world where cocoa farmers enjoys so much support from the government like in Ghana...."this must be the greatest joke of a lifetime!!!!! I have lived on and off in cocoa growing areas in Ghana and the only thing the government is interested in is the cocoa beans, cocobod has no clue how farmers acquire land, how the cocoa is cultivated until the beans are ready for purchase, then they come and put up a big concrete blocks storage and house for the receiver, the farmers live in mud houses covered with leaves or grass, one time chief/best farmer in Nkrankwanta was presented with a pair of Wellington boots and a single matchete as his price, this farmer has several wives and children and labourers, government or Cocobod couldn't afford a box of matchetes to at least cover some family members and labourers, not that he could not afford it himself, I am just trying to make a point. After divesting several thousands of acres of state cocoa plantations to cronies for a pittance, you are asking the youth to go into farming!!!where is the land????
