It was with high hopes that I heard of new board for the trade fair, hoping that they will bring their business skills into the efficient running of that dear organization Kwame Nkrumah; May his soul res in perfect peace. I remember warning that the new board members and management should be people who have run such fairs outside. Examples abound Sun city Gold reef city Disney land France and USA. At least Ghanaians with equivalent skill could be found all aver the world. Even a Ghanaian who has been a janitor in any fair ground could bring some new skill diversity to the Ghana Trade fair. I never even heard of the fair coming off. I have attended olmost 80% of all fairs held in Ghana since the early 70s.

A trade fair is simply when industries introduce their current product lines and also showcase their futuristic products to prospective partners. This one is a mere hawkers' fair. Few people trying to sell rudimentary products like beads, clothes, "oburoni wawu", etc. can hardly be described as a trade fair. Ghana has really lost it. I remember the first Ghana International Trade Fair.
