When Rawlings left in 2001, GDP has fallen to 3.9 billon US dollars and debt of 6 billion US dollars. When Kufour was leaving in 2009, GDP has balooned to 17 billion US dollars and Ghana has already been declared Middle Income country, debt at 9 billion US dollars.
