ITS VERY GOOD A THING TO HEAR THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS GETTING TOUGH ON FOREIGNERS IN PETTY TRADING,I HOPE THIS WORKS THIS TIME AROUND,AS WE PURSUE THIS COURSE I WILL MAKE A HUMBLE RECOMMENDATION,TO THE THE GOVERNMENT WE BELIEVE THAT THE MOST TRAVELED NATIONALS IN AFRICA IS A NIGERIAN AND A GHANAIAN.LET THE GOVERNMENT WITH THEIR TASK FORCE GET INTO THE MARKET GET THESE FOREIGNERS ON A ROUND TABLE VIA THE LOCAL MARKET AUTHORITIES,VALUE THEIR GOODS PROBABLY REDUCING THEIR MARKET PRICES BY 50% OR AS MAY BE AGREED WITH THE HELP OF A GHANIAN IN THE SAME LINE OF BUSINESS WHO WILL HELP THEM DETERMINES THE PRICES,AFTER THE PRICING THE ENTIRE GOODS WILL BE CONFISCATED AND THE FOREIGNER IS PAID THE TOTAL AMOUNT AGREED INSTANTLY WITHOUT ANY DELAY CHE QUES OR ANY BANK NOTE, AND THE FOREIGNER MADE TO SIGN AN UNDERTAKINGS NEVER TO RETURN TO THE MARKET TO DO TRADING,THE GOODS WILL IN TURN BE TRANSFERRED TO THE GHANIAN BUSINESSMAN AS AN OVERDRAFT TO PAY BACK TO THE GOVERNMENT WITH OR WITHOUT INTEREST UPON A GIVEN PERIOD,THAT WAY I THINK WE WOULD HAVE SUCCEEDED IN GETTING EVERY FOREIGNER OUT OF THE MARKET WITHOUT FIGHTING BICKERING AND RETALIATIONS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES WHERE GHANIANS ARE ALSO TRADING.GHANIANS ARE NOT WILLING TO BUY OFF THE GOODS OWNED BY FOREIGNER THEY COMPLAIN OF NO MONEY SO THE FOREIGNER MANAGED TO SELL OFF HIS WARES.LET US NOT ALLOW WHAT HAPPENED IN 1969 THAT REPEATED IN 1983 TO HAPPEN IN THIS MODERN ERA,IF IT HAPPENS NIGERIA AND GHANA WILL STRUGGLE TO SURVIVE WITHOUT EACH OTHER BUT ONE PARTY WILL STRUGGLE THE MORE.

This was what Dr. Busia's aliens compliance order all about. The system float the laws and allow illegal activities to take place and become a problem. We have huge unemploment and we allow foreigners to take the little there is from Our People. What kind of stupidity is this? How many Ghanaians are retailing on the streets of Bejing?

Busia did something similar in 1969. In 2014 you are doing this?
Lazy Ghanaians who are afraid of competition.
The biggest loser will be the Ghanaian consumer. Ghanaians are greedy and this shows in their trading.

i feel sory for the so call greedy Guta and some blinded politicien who could not think of the well being of the ordinary ghaneens insted of folowing this useless traders who took the opportunity in the constitution to hike prices and at this same time fight inocent foreigners whom are the main challenge for their debius profit.the law of the land is supreme, there its unlawful for anybody to act in the country unlawfully,i am olso happy to hear the minister who s nowklege is far ahead of these detractor who wil put fire and luf at the back.therefore there is a need to seat with the foreigners and solt out things for them also pay taxes for the contry since most the ECOWAS country especialy togo who ghaneen petit were going in theirs tousands ,were goods are afordable ,70%of togo traders are also foreiners but they keep them and the country is also gaining ,all these pety traders have been going there and are awere of it ,why did the goverment asked them to reduice prices and they keep telling story .

Bad idea. Encourage competition of local entrepreneurs, whether indigenous or foreign. Ghana is a democratic country and not a socialist or a communist one.
