I think it will be a favour for Ghana to stop exporting timber now and forever, why are we destroying everything in Ghana without thinking about future? We have been taken a lot of things for granted for too long, I remember one of the wise men I respect most in the country was saying when you ask most of Ghanaians what do with our oil money you be surprise how many prominent men and women will say let's spend the money today without thinking of when our wells runs dry what we should do then. Why do we still export timber as at now? Is it because foreign exchange or is it something Ghana pride itself. During Nkrumah time it was forbidding for one to enter into forest reserve if he/she is not a staff at forestry department/ division or service. Of late some ministerial servant was lodging a doggy lobbying for state forest reserve for his own selfish interest . We have gold, diamond.cocoa, oil, gas to name few, why are we still destroying ? We are destroying everything, all the good gift God has given us as a country and all the monies goes into individuals pocket why? The minister incharge of that sector should start thinking outside the box and start launching a programme and awareness for tree plantation again the government should start negotiations with chiefs and family members whom lands are not use for any good perposes to covert them into forest again. This is something need not to wait for white man to tell us what to do. We are also human being not monkeys aba! And those burning bushies every year for grass cutters should put an end to it, we are in 21st century ,we should stop the primitive way of life. Let's think think and think for now and future!

The protection of plants is the duty of every human-being because our lives depend on plants - as food, medicines, soil conservation, oxygen production
and good scenery.
