1. Use proprietary data, not those submitted by the government's statistics office. This will sharpen the debate and make you more credible.

This is the way to go, however I have 2 proposals for you:
1. Use proprietary data, not those submitted by the government's statistics office. This will sharpen the debate and make you more credible.
2. Drill down to provide reasearch focusing on sectors of the economy, like real estate, agriculture, manufacturing, trucking/logistics, healthcare, etc.
I believe the average person will understand that better than you preaching on the whole macroeconomic situation. I am also sure others on this forum have other ideas.

The conclusion for agricultural performance does not correlate to the data you provided. Inclusion of petroleum products in the GDP means the percentage share of GDP for agriculture would drop. But, this does not mean agriculture did not perform well. Here is your assertion:
"Nonetheless, this sector’s share actually decreased slightly from 23.0 per cent of GDP in 2012 to 22.0 per cent in 2013. Thus, despite the major improvement in its performance, agriculture continues to perform relatively poorly, and to assume less and less prominence within the Ghanaian economy,” he said."
In the future I suggest to use the index to determine year to year change.
