  Why should Ghanaians be subject to Double Inspection and therefore double taxes? All imports coming into the country are subject to Destination Inspection. Importers are made to pay for cost of Destination Inspection. In addition to this you want them to again pay for Pre-inspection? This is cheating.

  GSA does not know what they are talking about. Are they saying if the value of goods is below the thresh hold of USD 250,000, then the inspection company does not charge for the services? I just dont get.

  GSA go ahead to introduce GCAP so Ghanaians can enjoy quality products for once. in fact, l have lost confidence in most of the imported products on our markets and l am sure the situation is same for other people too. So for me, GUTA stands to gain if GCAP assures all of us that whatever products they bring in are of the right quality , l will patronise their products and so will other people so demand for their products will increase and the jobs that they are afraid will be lost will not be lost after all. in that Ghana will be better off because we shall be free from the substandard and fake products that have flooded our markets in recent times; consumers will have the monies worth.
