  ALL THESE AGENCIES ARE JUST KILLING IMPORTERS WITH ALL THESE NONSENSE AND NUMEROUS INSPECTIONS. ALL UNDER THE GUISE OF MAKING MONEY OFF THE IMPORTERS. FOR EXAMPLE, IN KUMASI THE FOOD AND DRUGS BOARD GO ROUND INSPECTING FOOD PREPARED AT THE NUMEROUS CHOP BARS AND RESTAURANTS. THE HEALTH INSPECTORS ALSO UNDERTAKE THE SAME INSPECTION. THIS IS DOUBLE INSPECTION AND A WASTE OF TAXPAYERS MONEY.

  I am of the opinion that Ghana needs quality imports and exports lest they cease to be competitive.
  
  Politicians must not be roped into this discussion since they have vested interest but what they need to understand is that Ghana should be built with good Governance in place.
  
  The very system these people are fighting is the same that will enable them to raise the necessary revenue through GSA leading to growth of the nation.
  
  I oppose the view that this is a bid to kill importation....
