(if they are productive) Same is done for huge factorys in America! land might be donated for 50-100 years and no tax paid for 15 years to get a factory...Telsa electric cars just made(invite) 4 USA states to bid on having battery factory placed in their state!

So gov't of Ghana bans the importation of rice through the land borders to reduce imports / destroy the livelihood of local importers... auspiciously to reduce imports of rice... now aren't they turning around and just saying telling someone else to import more rice.
Isn't this tantamount to gov't destroying the business of local suppliers, in favor of foreign suppliers. Isn't gov't supposed to support GHANAINS!!!!
God save Ghana from vision-less leaders who in a bid to retain power jump from one stupid idea to another all in a bid to do "something"

The buy and sell mentality continues unabated, We should rather ask for technical assistance to help us produce our own rice.We don't need these imports.Ghanaians must be told in plain terms that development comes with a price. Compare it with your personal economic upliftment,it always comes with sacrifices. In Ghana we want all the beautiful things of European cities without ANY sacrifice,,,,, unfortunately it doesn't work that way.We need Busia*s centre for civic education to educate the masses on a continuous basis.
