We have a long stretch of coastal landscape where the abundance of wind power can be harnessed to generate power by means of wind turbines yet I haven't read or seen it anywhere to suggest that the our leaders and "experts" are interested to at least invest in feasibility studies to ascertain how viable this venture will be.
All you hear about are the environmentally unfriendly coal-fired plants and the expensive solar energy because these proponents have personal vested interests in them. All that they are interested is their cutbacks and commissions and nothing else.
Garbage, which we have in abundance but have no clue how to recycle to control the cholera outbreaks in our cities can also be used as secondary fuel to fire boilers to generate steam which in turn can be used to drive steam turbine-driven power generators.
We ,therefore, can kill "three birds with one stone" by getting rid of our garbage recycling issues, preventing cholera outbreaks and adding more needed power to our grid at the same time.
About 6 or 8 of these plants strategically placed around the country will be a boon industrially and give us a good grip to handle the cholera issue plaguing our big cities and towns.
Just saying..... those who have ears, let them hear.
