Rape cases are on the increase in Ghana. Judges and WAJU of the Ghana police force must do more to protect our society. Some people have become so notorious of raping and getting away with it. Many believe that it is a weapon capable of scarring individuals to the very soul and seize the least opportunity to use it; using it on the families of their political or business competitors. Not even those at the higher echelons of our society must get away with it. It is said that a man paid a student to rape the daughter of his business and political competitor. The rapist got away with it.
The number of court houses and judges in Ghana are inadequate especially in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The population has ballooned and changes have to be made. The same can be said of the number of police officers and the number of penitentiaries. On a visit to a number of court houses around the country I found the Ghana flag and the Ghana Coat of Arms (Seal) absent. This must change.

Dela Addo, Executive Director of NASPAG please can you explain why you cannot get a bank loan? Why is it that everybody wants to rely on the government?

I was going to say the same thing !! Why always the government ? If this is profitable as is touted, why not seek private patnership to raise the required investment ?

Because with government money no accountability people can use it to buy cars and other luxuries, but with the banks they will come after them, that is why everybody wants government intervention

It would be far less complicated for the company to go public which should enable them to sell stocks on the market. It will help raise money without strings from government or institutions.

Dela Addo, organise crowd funding and Ghanaian would buy shares. Salt is more than gold and oil. Just exporting to Nigeria in huge quantities would transform this nation. It is also found in Daboya, near Tamale. Good luck.

A got a question. Is this entity a private, public corporation or a quasi- gov't entity?
If it's either a private or a public corporation and the C.F.O don't know how to raise $5M for a business expansion that would increase production ten-fold, they got no business running a business.
It's either going to be equity or debt, depending on the cost of money.Folks this is a "gold mine" and these blokes who are running it don't know how to "mine" it. Folks running a business is not rocket science, create value for investors and the invisible hands of fungible money would find you.
Just keep your nose clean, don't ruffle feathers and make sure your country is under sanctions to do business with the powers-that-be "corporatistas". Do that and you would be found -in far off "Fankyeneko", my adopted hometown,or even in "Kwaokudi strip", for that proverbial "return on equity" which is the holy grail of investment.
Go get them tiger, it's not that complicated if you get the hang of it.

So,this organization is sitting on a "gold mine" and don't know how to "mine it." The question I like to know is this, is this entity a private, public company or government owned? The right answers to those will determine the way forward.
If it's Government -owned I wouldn't be surprised if the RFP for long -term business plan for salt mining is awarded to PwC. Sarcasm aside this is basic financing 101 every business entity need to know.
It's either going to be equity or debt financing, depending of course, on cost of money.Folks if these blokes who are running this entity don't know how to finance an expansion to increase production ten-fold they got no business running a business. The beauty about business- regardless of what is being produced, is that if you create value - for investors, the invisible hands of fungible money will find it, unless, of course a country is under sanctions by the economic-powers that be.
Folks this is not rocket science- keep your nose clean, don't ruffle feathers and that invisible hand of investment dollars would find you even if you are in the backwaters of "Fankyeneko" my adopted hometown.
Go get them tiger- Mr.C.E.O, it's not that complicated if you get the hang of it.
