  The economy is hitting workers hard and many are looking for ways to balance the family budget.

  GSS must continue the good work it is doing collecting and disseminating statistics.
  
  An important aspect of this is the media education on the Ghana Living Standards Survey. A statistically savvy electorate is important for democracy to aid understanding of statistics and to guard against abuse of statistics for political ends.
  
  The GLSS provides a rich picture of the economy in the intercensal period, and together with census data aids understanding of the socio-economic development of our country.
  
  GSS must be commended for conducting 6 rounds of the GLSS, and be encouraged to continue its good work.
