Almost 97% of food grown and sold in the US have GMO origins. That simply means junk. Did you also know that more than 85% of cows grown in the US eat corn instead of the natural grass based foods? America has serious, strange, and grave diseases which is why most people here are on one medication or the other for life. When I leave Ghana and arrive in the US, I feel very healthy and strong for about a week after which my energy level begins to drop, and I have to rush to my doctor for my blood pressure prescription. We do not value what we have in Ghana because we have traditionally thought less of everything Ghanaian as inferior to whatsoever emanates from the west. Go ahead, pass these stupid bills to go GMO because you do not know better and wait for the complex array of diseases that will overtake us in a country that is ill equipped to handle them.

If any Government dare passes a bill which introduces GMO into country, it will there they will see the different character of Ghanaians.

Ghana should not even debate on this topic at all. Ghana do not need GMO period the type of land that we have can feed the whole West Africa, if mechanise our farmers. God have mercy on us with such leaders that are running o ... read full comment
