The degree of absenteeism in the house is reaching unbearable levels.
There is a place where you can be sure that you would find a representative (MP) from every part of Ghana year round gathered together to deliberate on the future and the current state of this country. Where is that? Parliament house of course. If there is such a place then how should the place and the people there be treated in the scheme of things? What priority should such a house be given in the governance of the country? If there is such a place then what kind of people should we send there and how should we assess their performance?
Parliament must also provide a readily available renovated residence in Sakumono to a newly elected parliamentarian. Accommodation in Accra/Tema is expensive and not every MP-elect may have the money to rent a house as he or she may have exhausted his or her funds running for office.
In the load shedding exercise it is imperative that some key areas be left out. This should include where the three arms of government work and reside like Sakumono where MPs (representatives) reside and flag staff house and osu castle where the President works and resides. Where the chief justice works and resides should also be included. It should also include the premises of key government institutions like ministries. We need to quadruple our electricity production within the next four years but not through foreign investors.

It is good to develop but is this the best way possible? Someon must take this government to court on the account of law to reverse those senseless, mediocre, stinking, no thinking, uncreative, and brain-paralyzed way of developing. How much investment are these people bringing to own so much right for a 50 year deal like this? It's shocking. Because of corruption and little thinking, we are giving away such a fortune for nothing. How much are we making from the Tema and Takoradi harbors annually? That compared with the ready market our oil and gasis going to give this port suggests some people may be Hannah Tetteh and her cronies will benefit big time. But I call on IMANI or ISODEC or any individual who sees any legal flaws in this deal to for once take this government to court to either reverse this deal or compel the parties to amend certain aspects of this deal as my little knowledge tells me this deal contravenes the laws instituting GHAPOHA. Please a bold person or institution should act now. This government is taking us back to slavery. Our forefathers sold us for gin and gunpowder but these politicians and given this nation away for coins. It is sad more Ghanaians are denouncing their nationality. Why can't we do what Norway did with Statoil when they discovered oil? Why are we going the Nigeria way? Why not learn from great places like Dubai etc?
