I remember clearly when Kweku Baaku and Kwesi Pratt debated on the taxes we pay each time we buy fuel after the ex factory price. This was during Kufuor's regime and the government announced they couldnt subsidise fuel anymore.
So which subsidy are we talking about again. What is this? Can't a man plan his life for at least one year without surprises anymore?
Come on, people. Do a better job than this.

Can this be sustained ? Watch and learn. We have been here before . Everything going on is just like the carp pay old days, high inflation., queues for everything, lack of essential commodities, no investment, no business, kalabule, farm foods stuck in the villages being left to rot, every starts sustenance farming, toothless banks who can't manage finances and discourage people from saving, water in the dam goes low for ages, power outages, a whole lot of damn feckless people in power who can't do jack shit but scream nonsense, if they shout jump, they want you to say how high? All in all same old same old......wow ! We have an awful lot of selfish madafooking people in authority. In all our history only Nkrumah and kuffour achieved despite their shortcomings. Sad days.

This is an issue of globalization. The only answer to this is: the country should scale back on being a net importer of foreign goods and rather diversify her economy, paving the way for strengthening the country's local currency in the process. The situation will not improve unless these measures are taken. This is not an NDC problem. The truth is no government-neither the NDC nor NPP and previous governments have ever considered the viability of the diversification process! The Central Bank cannot do much in the absence of diversification.

Thank you very much for your insight on this issue, as for the educated illiterates, they have no sense to find why we have certain problem in the country. all they know is to blame the government or the sitting president. instead of them thinking or asking why we import oil into the country when we are producing oil, rather, they are blaming the president. if we don't educate our selves on policies and make good changes, we will forever remain undeveloped.
