Look at this idiot called Haruna. So what you are basically saying is that we must accept a hijack without complain. No wonder Ghana's economic growth has ground to a halt.

Because our NDC leaders cannot create any meaningful avenues for job creation and increase revenues for the nation, they only rely on signing bogus agreements thinking they can get loans to share at the expense of Ghanaians.

That is the right questions to ask about the intellect of our so called leaders.
I wonder why,and how, for some unknown reasons, our leadership always relegated Common Sense approach to the background to “Sell off" the Country for a pittance, when it comes to the Signing of agreements ; be it for loans or long term economic entanglement. If the Minister "Shares in the Concerns raised by Civil Society",What did he mean by "but Ghana would have to make economic adjustment in order to welcome the Shocks that may follow the Signing of the agreement"
Is anyone forcing Ghana to Sign ?
Haruna Iddrisu,do the NDC gov't which you find yourself to be the Minister of Trade without any prior economic Trade experience, know how to create Economic Trade Shocks ?
You can not even put in place, prudent economic and financial measures like, Macro Economics,Economic Empowerment etc for Growth, and Fiscal Policy,Balance of Payment, and Financial Sector reforms, for long term Investment. So,What are you talking about !
The Common Sense approach,is for Ghana to Suspend her Signature to have more time to Sturdy the EPA agreement,to See how it goes, with a Chance to Sign later after some time . Maybe decades. And there is no nonsense about that !
Again,is Europe the only Market in the World ? Why don't us explore other markets in Asia. Places like : China,Russia,US etc etc.
Ghana is a Sovereign State. Therefore puppet ECOWAS does not have a say in what Ghana should decide. Period !

I would be digging deep to find the relevant scoop but under tight time constraint. Thanks to anyone who can help.
Again, whatever the odds, the Govt must embrace the Opposition's view on this issue. The Opposition must not be ignored or left in the dark on this. And the Opposition should not reserve its honest views on it, with the intention to score Partisan political points, later.
Long Live Ghana!!!

Mr. Minister, you should know by now that Europe is no longer the hub of the global economic capitailst system; the hub of economic action is the BRICS, especially Asia, and even America knows this, hence Washington's "Pivot to Asia". Europe is an economic spent-force, and I wonder why we should waste our time accommodating a sinking ship (EU) instead of jumping unto a "gravy train" (the BRICS). Please, advise your ECOWAS colleagues to steer the ECOWAS ship towards the BRICS, especially China and Russia if they don't want the ship to run aground in the shallow waters of EU. There is not much left in Europe to labour for, and in fact there has never been anything worthwhile there to make us smile. The threats to compel us to sign the EPA is a testimony that we will be signing our death warrant if we do so. But can't we be smarter? smart!
