    This issue is not about Oil but commonsense and about applying it.
    I am sure most of us in this forum have heard about RISK ASSESSMENT.

    How and where are oil deposits in Kumasi. At Eastern Region is a bit understandable not Kumasi being classed here in the article as off-shore.

    You are being misled by the article.
    Have the Ashanti, Brong-Ahafo, or Eastern Regions any sea shores? Off-shore means that you are talking about a place that is "on the sea" and not on "land".

    Without oil our debt stood at $8bn; with oil our debt is over $56bn. Please God take your oil and give to countries with brains so we might go there and take loans. We are only good at taking loans and not making money.

    I AM SURPRISED THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT SOLAR ENERGY. EVEN THOUGH THE INITIAL INVESTMENT MAY BE HIGH, ONCE IN PLACE, IT SHOULD SURELY BE CHEAPER IN THE LONG RUN.

    Abdul Razak, you are wrong: offshore drilling is a process where a wellbore is drilled through the seabed. offshore drilling could also take place in lakes, inshore waters and inland sea.
