I am surprised that Africans have dealt with Europeans for more than 500 years and still haven't learnt anything about them. We stupidly and naively still embrace these people the same way our forefathers welcomed them as friends in 1471.
When Nana Kwamina Ansah and his elders were warmly accepting them as friends, and giving them land to build their home (castle) for coexistence, their White friends were thinking of how they could use their new home (castle), as an opportunity, to enslave their free-hearted host, colonize their land, take every precious property on the land free to enrich themselves.
I think the modern generation is more stupid that our forefathers. We claim to be enlightened but we are worse - it is not the first fool but the second, who is more foolish.
It's about time, Ghanaians understand that the Whiteman will never give them a free lunch. It's always going to be a Dollar for Penny relationship. Ghana will lose big time in end. You'll send one container of pineapple, and they will flood our market with 100 containers of toothpicks.

GNA should do better in terms if how it reports to the public. The last paragraph just goes to underpin how one-sided this article is, by only highlighting what the EU says regarding the Agreement. No analysis at all indicating the pros and cons to Ghana. A more professionally written article should also indicate what Ghana might sacrifice or lose if it signed the Agreement.

Agreed. We failed to do this for the oil expo and now we have the short end of the stick a mere 15 percent or so for Ghana.

tell Blue skies they should increase the number of their juice spots along our walkways and residential streets. We can eat and drink any amount of juice or fruit that they produce. Further more they haven't even exported enough to nearer African states so they should rethink their business model and let the EU do as it pleases. We have had enough of this stupidity.

The Sea-Freight Pineapple Exporters of Ghana are playing with fire. Wonder if they have been educated or they have simply gone to school. They sound to me as people who have simply gone to school but never received any education. If they were educated, they would have taken the trouble to analyze the content of the EPA agreement before making an enlightened request to the President. But as we can see, the request they have made just exposed their lack of education, ignorance and self interest and benefit and not for the benefit of all Ghanaians. It is clear that these people if they are Ghanaians are not patriotic at all for their country. It is these type of people who want are ready to sell Ghana to the EU through this EPA agreement, to enslave our people once more. You are wrong, you cannot sell Ghana. The spirits of our ancestors who fought for the Independence of our country and the end of slave trade will fight those selfish people who want to betray the dignity, pride and sovereignty of Ghana. Be worn

Most of them are European companies or with European backing anyway. I wonder why our ministers of state waste time on these people. If their produce has a fair amount of tax placed on it so what? After taking all the tax exemptions they can and do get here, it's ok if they pay import taxes on the other end. At least for the value of their exports we are happy to give them tax breaks etc. They should get out of our way.
Here is the best to worse, the rating of all Ghana's leaders in terms of development. Mind you, I am a staunch member of the NPP.
