    Also, taxation as per economics text books is used in controlling inflation. The higher the taxes, the less money in circulation and the lower the inflation. The lower the taxes, the higher the money supply causing inflation.

    I keep saying this pres is sick because there is no detail given in transforming the local industries to help the agric sector. The tractors were given to friends who don't even have farms. Why? This is pure sickness.

    TROPICAL COUNTRY WHICH IMPORT RICE, CHICKEN, VEGETABLE, SUGAR, FRUITS AND NO SNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING IS MADNESS. MECHANIZED, IRRIGATION AGRICULTURE IS KEY TROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.

    Only true reduction of Imports of foodstuffs which Ghana can produce locally eg.rice,sugar Fruits and vegatables etc.and the ban on the importation of very expensive cars costing over $30,000.00can help the economy.

    Chew and pour talk. Leave the free market alone. You cannot force any private person to import. If you can refine the local rice here the importer will save his money and buy locally.
