  Is it dog eat dog no blood or dog eat dog is no news?
  
  Now COCOBOD is complaining that LBCs are owing it. How did that come about? Is it that the monies have found their way elsewhere and cannot be accounted for? We need some explanations and that should be fast otherwise some of us would draw certain conclusions.
  
  
  The government has taken the responsibility of marketing our cocoa through COCOBOD and CMC. For the past three years the bonus payable to cocoa farmers have been left unpaid and no explanation had been given. Yet government expect the farmers to put up their maximum. Prices on hitherto subsidised input have sky rocketed since the withdrawal of same and the farmers in the wake of the hi-tech are expected the produce a very high output ostensibly to achieve the one million tonnes.
  
  With COCOBOD's attitude, I can bet my bottom dollar that the production is going to decline and I wonder why so much promise is made that the one million tonnage is achievable.
  
  For how long has this amount being owed? Has it got any impact in the non-payment of the bonuses?
  
  I think that the supervisory role of COCOBOD is woefully inadequate and lacking and yet its staff clamour for the payment annual bonus and when there is a delay, the staff threaten strike.
  
  Have the farmers gone on strike or threaten to withhold the sale of their produce? Come to think of all these being meted out to the farmers and in the wake of all these degrading treatment, they assemble in quietude and conduct the sale of their produce.
