YOU ARE CAPITALISTS AND YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT IMPORTS AND MARKETING. WELL, AN AMERICAN ONCE ASSERTED THAT CAPITALISM IS LIKE FISHES BIG AND SMALL BEING PUT IN A TANK SWIMMING IN A SEA. THE BIG FISHES JUST SWALLOW THE SMALL FISHES ALONG THE WAY. BUSINESS IS COMPETITION AND YOU HAVE TO FIND MEANS TO SURVIVE. IT IS LIKE A MARATHON. THE WEAKER ONES WILL FALL BY THE WAY SIDE. YOU WANT FREE TAX PAYERS MONEY FROM GOVERNMENT TO SET UP A BANK AND GIVE THE CAPITAL FROM THE POOR TO YOUR POLITICAL FRIENDS AND SOONER OR LATER THE 50 MILLION YOU WANT FROM GOVERNMENT WILL VANISH. IF YOU CHOOSE TO RUN THEN REMEMBER THAT SURVIVAL IS FOR THE FITTEST. AGI, PLEASE STAND UP AND COMPETE. THAT IS HOW CAPITALISM WORKS. NO MORE FREE MONEY FROM THE PUBLIC PURSE PLEASE. AGI OVER TO YOU!!!

Set up the bank. A few issues may arise but a lot more benefits would come to Ghana. More local private businesses would be set up. Existing ones would grow. That means more jobs within Ghana.

The barn, after the horses have bolted!
Many within your association have lauded the quick fix of 'buy and sell'[kotod3ton] which the NPP introduced and encouraged, when they were in charge. The NDC 2 & 3 have blindly followed suit; and now that the short-term gains have been exhausted, what is your group complaining about?
What makes yu think that businesspeople who have become accustomed to the astronomical profits [ranging between 200-300 %] would want to go back to real productive activities, particularly when costs of production[inputs, plant & equipment, utilities and wages] have skyrocketed? What is really the justification for the kind of interest rates we have seen in this country in the last 10-15 yrs? Why is there such a huge spread[12-16 points] between rates here, and in next door Nigeria and other Ecowas countries?
As far as I am concerned,it all boils down to naked greed and incessant corruption!
