Under payment to farmers forced farmers to smuggle, should the state acts in protecting the farmers smuggling won't even occur.A win win attitude will eliminate any act of mistrust, and the government is the offender.

As a native,I feel so disappointed by this event. I will beseech the farmers to form co-operative to enable then secure a bank loan. The loan protracted should be used to put up storage facilities. Now, all farmers must sell their cocoa beans to this co-operation. In a sense, you know who you are selling your cocoa to-a trust among farmers. Once this wholesale is established, buyers will have no option than to buy from this wholesale and will not be able to cheat them. If farmers continue to sell to individual clerks then I am afraid the menace will ever persist. If this is achieved , the sky will be their limit. A free advice from a common man. Goodluck to my parents!

Now if unproper dried cocoa of 64 kilos is purchased by a clerk, after re-drying, the clerk will loose not less than 4.6kilos.
Stop the complaining and do the right thing.
