In UK the current gas and electricity was not blamed on the government. The government is begging the ultilities companies for reduction.
Whiles China and Japan is setting up nucler plant to power the country UK, Ghana is going to borrow to set up an energy company that will land in peoples pockets.
Success stories GCB, Ghana Telecom, Continetal, now movinpic, Ashanti Goldfields, so why is the government still holding on these good for nothing companies? sell them and use the proceeds to set up a mobile phone manufacturing company and apparels, shoes company and sell them too! the economy will move forward! ABA!

I read news that Ethiopia has signed a contract for 4B$ for geothermal energy that will produce 1,000Mwatt. So why not Ghana with all the resource we have. Though it require far sighted ambition and strategy

Nuclear power is the answer. The government should invest in nuclear with everything we have, we are going to reap the benefits for 50 years.

Solar is the best in the future. Yet, no political party is thinking and working towards making it as easy and ready availability as the mobile phone. With 1.2 million Ghanaians having 6 solar panels at home, the pressure on the three hydro dams would go down. And yet no action from government. There are 15 mini hydro sites in Ghana, government needs to create the evironment for PPP. All new estate houses need to have solar as part of the plan. Let Flagstaff house take the lead.
