'Bought a consignment of 600,000 barrels of crude from Nigeria'
And there I was thinking that Ghana was producing its own crude oil.

How can Ghana import petrol which is more expensive and not be able to import crude oil. Refining crude oil in Ghana will employ more people and also keep equipment in good shape. If TOR is maintaining their staff and not producing, then it amounts to double jeopardy. Throwing good money after bad strategy.

I am still calling on President Mamaha to take a second look at TOR's problems. Government should take the bull by the horn and introduce the Public Private Partnership at TOR since it cannot run the refinery alone. TOR is capital intensive. Most of these BDCs (Bulk Distribution Companies) stood on the shoulders of TOR to get to where they are now and I know some of them will be too willing to invest in TOR. After this crude from Nigeria what next? Find out if TOR is breaking even. How much money has gone into the importation and production of that 600,000 barrels from Nigeria. President Mahama should not listen to those selfish individuals but should act very fast to avoid total collapse of TOR. No change of Management can help TOR now. What TOR needs is PPP. Thank you.

public private partnership can stop the greed that corrupt official in the public sector are exhibiting. They drill pipes along the pipelines that cary the fuel form point a to b and load tankers for their personal greed at the expense of the public that the private partners can stop easily? why can't the government do same? Are we not patriotic? I do not understand the Ghananian psychic. Mahama should retrieve all the judgement debt, ban culprits from public office and use such looted money for the Refinary.
