No serious study has been done about electricity consumption in Ghana. 50% or more is lost to leakage. If this is taken care of there will be more electricity to go round and cost will come down brought about through efficiency. How many hotels have A/C running and their windows opened? How many homes with A/Cs are insulated. Just go to the ministries and see for yourselves building constructed in 1950's designed to be cooled by fans but now air conditioned. The less said about homes without meters the better.

We need to focus our energy strategy on the Solar sector and invest in it.
Even though Germany don´t have enough Sunshine like us, they are leading in this technology.
