One of the major problems facing African governments is the poor performance of various govt boards. These board members inorder to equip themselves must be regularly trained in governance, due dilligence, effective board communication, domain knowledge and regulations, innovative strategic thinking and coporate responsibilitie
s including how to read and interpret accounts .Furthermore these board members must be made to attend other short courses as need be because knowledge is dynamic and not static. Board duties are serious matters and not a tea party for the boys.
