The VRA public relations should increase public and stalk holders awareness on the dangers associated with maximum generation of electricity. Educate us, so that when there is a problem, the public can support you. Build more dams on the 15 sites across the country and go solar. Encourage private sector to generate more power.

My brother, you have said it all. It is blatantly obvious to anyone with an iota of brain that this is the way forward for us. However, for some strange reasons that I cannot fathom, our politicians just do not get this simple, thoughtful, pragmatic, self-sustaining and relatively cheap approach to energy generation. They just keep looking for money to build expensive forms of energy generation by the construction of thermal plants.
Good LORD, please save us.

We have a deadly combination of ignorance, greed and corruption in the actions of the governments we have had. Instead of using the receipts from oil to build sustainable, energy infrastructure, they are looting left and right and when the crisis strikes they will import petrol-guzzling generators. Instead of putting knowledgeable people - real professionals from the universities and industry - in charge, they've put ex-convicts and crooks like Sipa Yankee in charge of our gas enterprise. Imagine P.V. Obeng heading a Development Agency which is said to be out of money!!! Putting the fox in charge of the hen house and complaining there are no chickens left! The oil money goes to Woyome and Co (fronting for the NDC hierarchy). Yet we have KNUST faculty and graduates with much know-how and experience (even from prestigious, international institutions and companies) who could come up with a comprehensive vision and plan to produce sustainable energy for the nation.

How does the Bui dam come in? Will it be in operation by next year to support Akomsombo dam? Let solar power also be encouraged

Trees should be planted in all the catchment areas. Ghana should also add wind power to its energy mix.
