The Ghanaian is finally waking up from its slumber. We have to put our feet solidly on the ground to resist the aggressor, look him squarely in the eyes and tell him to his face where we stand, what we can and cannot do without any hesitation. While leading the African revolution, we also need to build a strong block to face our economical foes of the world in unity. This is the way we earn respect. Now this is Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana and Africa.

Ghanaians don't want to trade. They always want to be sheltered through bad government policies like these so-called experts are saying. At the same time you would always be going cup-in -hand to Europe to finance your budget. This Aid the politicians steal half of it.
Sign up to the EPA, expose your companies to competition and let them learn how to walk with giants.
There is no child who have ever been independent with the mother supporting him at every stage when he falls. The child have to learn to rise up on his own.
This is what EPA is all about. It would be tough to start with. But eventually our companies would be toughened by the experience and learn how to do things well, produce quality products and understand new markets in Europe.
Does Action-Aid create jobs? No. Its business that would create jobs. Mots of the high-performining countries in Lation America such as Chile, Peru and those in Asia such as South Korea, Malaysia etc have all signed up to an EPA with the EU.
But Africans want to be protected by corrupt governments through high-taxes so that they can continue to be mediocre and borrow and beg for Aid.
Get some dignity. Learn to fight and walk with the best. Stop depending on taxes. Somebody has to pay these taxes from somewhere. Help businesses to grow so that they can directly create employment, not stealing the peoples taxes to finance corrupt institutions such as GYEEDA and SADA in the name of "job-creation". Sign up to the EPA for Trade and Development.

I'm wondering where your advise falls. Countries like Ghana MUST AVOID signing EPA.
START TRADING:: Hasn't Gh been trading with EU for all these years? Even after EU countries have stifled GH economies with trade barriers which favour only EU products, they still want all. --very european--
Put trade barriers on fruits and vegetables to inhibit locals from direct access then encourage europeans to create companies in the name of Fairtrade. shouldn't the EU rather open up its market to african countries?
Stop Borrowing:: This is very true. I personally think african countries will be better off removing trade intra-continental trade barriers than be rushing for EPA agreements.
EPA won't be beneficial to most economically developing African countries. EU wants free markets to dump its excess under the disguise of EPA.
Ghana must avoid EPA and protect its market. Until, they start they'll continue borrowing.

Read the Cotton story of Burkina, etc. EU protects its workers with laws that make it difficult for trade that will benefit African countries.
Protect your workers. EPA will kill more jobs than creating. Even within EU, there's protectionism.i would expect economically developing countries to do so.

Simple, any deal that will not benefit Ghana or a least give us a fifty-fifty grace in partnership, then don't sign, period.

TO SUCCEED,WE NEED STRONG,VIBRANT,EFFICIENT AND DIVERSIFIED EXPORT(PROCESSED MATERIALS),BUT NOT PRIMARY COMMODITY(CRUDE MATERIAL)EXPORTS.
From what he said and under-listed,a clear and solid statement could be deduced out of it:
WE NEED SKILLED WORKFORCE,TO PRODUCE EFFICIENTLY AND MORE TO BE ABLE TO COMPETE WITH THE EUROPEAN MARKET,BEFORE EVEN,THINKING OF SIGNING THE EPA.
The WESTERN BLOCK is always strategic and most often, subtle in her calculated plans to cheat AFRICA.
We have to open our eyes then,so we could avoid mistakes we have been committing, since time immemorial,so they could find it though to render our focus, plans in dealing with them, ineffective.
They are cunning and crafty, and have used our vulnerability and ignorance to exploit us,for so long.
Now,we have started thinking, and it's becoming hard for them to get the fullest control over us.
We have to be self reliant and not depending on them for everything. We offer ourselves to them with our slavery mentality and inferiority complexity.
WE ARE WHAT WE ARE,AND OUR DIFFERENCE SHOULD BE CELEBRATED FROM THE EUROPEANS.
OUR DISTINCTIVE QUALITIES FROM THE EU,SHOULD BE DISCERNED AND CELEBRATED.
WE HAVE TO KNOW WHERE WE CAN PERFORM BETTER THAN THEM,SO WE CAN CAPITALIZE UNCOMPROMISINGLY,ADEQUATELY AND EFFICIENTLY,ON THEM,TO COMPETE WITH ALL THE VIM WE HAVE.
EG:
COCOA,GOLD,DIAMOND,OIL,MANGANESE,BAUXITE,WITH CHEAPER LABOUR FORCE.
If we are able to train our youth THE SKILLS NEEDED,INNOVATIVELY,to control industrialization,to produce quality products,at a bit cheaper price,we stand the chance to kill the businesses of the WESTERN BLOCK.
Look, the Chinese came up with, cheaper, inferior products to the world market, and they have won.
I will always end up with this:
WHERE WE ARE IS WHERE WE WILL EVER BE,UNTIL WE DECIDE,WHERE WE RATHER BE.

Do not sign this agreement if it is not in our national interest.
Let us rather integrate our ECOWAS economies into a big single market.
