$2.62 a day And yet petrol is $5 a gallon. So the lowest aid worker would have to work for 2 days, eat no food, sleep nowhere ... to be able to afford a gallon of petrol. And yet state officials ride in $100,000 cars?

Why are all our news reporters so ignorant and sheepish?
Would reporting the news in Twi or any other local language even make intelligible sense? It seems that we are born to tolerate failure, mediocrity, disease and retardation.
Either the writers or publishers have no idea what they write about or are simply stupid people hired off the streets and forced to work.
Why can't the facts be clearly stated so we all understand the nature of the beast.
Is it a fact that all the young men and women who work at Accra Mall, Melcom, Koala, The Ministries and Banks make 5.32 Cedis per day? That is to say 0.65 pesewas per hour?
If so, I urge them to steal as much as they can every single day, and if these expatriates guard the cash registry with human force, I urge them to craftily destroy their goods so they don't make any profit. Please just don't poison any food items.
This is criminal, to think that everything in Ghana is priced almost exactly as it is in the US and Europe, with all the high profit margins, our youth earn only 65 pesewas per hour?
How are they going to budget to get to work, eat lunch and get back home on 5 Cedis per day?
Why should all these beautiful young kids even have any desire to work? The girls practice "Sex for Money", the Boys form thieving gangs, and the village kids tend to sell anything under the sun in the middle of roads, highways and by-ways.
Ghana we can do better.
5.00 Cedis per hour is a decent wage and indeed affordable for many businesses that are flourishing.

This is a step in the right direction but too small considering the cost of a gallon of petrol now.
