Ghana's hindrances in GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS are these:
BRIBERY & CORRUPTION.
UNPATRIOTIC ATTITUDE.
TRADITION.
SLAVERY MENTALITY & INFERIORITY COMPLEX.
UNWILLINGNESS TO SEEK SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE/INSUFFICIENCY IN HARNESSING NEW TECHNOLOGIES(LACK OF INFORMATION).
TOO MUCH DEPENDENCY ON FOREIGN COUNTRIES.
RECKLESS SPENDING.
DISTRIBUTION OF RESOURCES,NOT BEING PROPORTIONATE.
SALES OF RAW MATERIAL BUT NOT PROCESSING THEM.
GHANA has to open her eyes,to avoid impending doom,in the midst of plenty.
It appears,THE EASTERN & SOUTHERN CORRIDORS OF AFRICA,are doing far better than the WEST,in lots of spheres.
I was surprised to know that most of the WEST AFRICAN COUNTRIES have variable GAGES IN THEIR RAIL SYSTEMS.
That is not the case in the EAST & SOUTH.
AFRICA does not have ANY UNITY AT HEART/IN MIND,yet we boast of AU,to our credit.
Where we are is where we would ever BE UNTIL WE DECIDE,WHERE WE RATHER BE.

This is a wake up call for the government of the day to do more than it is doing now.
Why should Ghana come this low?

Ghana needs Competition Act to control deep seated anti-competitive devices and agreements in the Ghana economy to compete with innovation of professions, trades, services and vocations.
Countries like USA, Kenya and South Africa are competitive on the stomach of their their Competition Law.
The Finance Minister, Seth Terkper, must confront the problems without delay in order to increase the GDP and prosperity for all Ghanaians.

Oyiwa! Anum jwa nkoaa na aka yen. Ghana, the Black Stars of Africa; Ghana, the Gate Way to West Africa; Ghana, this, Ghana that...We have become'adikan bedi akyire''. The first shall be last. We claim to know to much; we have politicised everything and this is the bane of our underdevelopment and backwardness. Corruption, nepotism and selfishness are killing the nation. Look at how the Cedi has plumetted? And yet we claim to be making progress in development. Who are we trying to deceive?
Just take a trip to some of these emeging countries like Botswana and Rwanda and you'll see REAL development: Infrastructural development and human development. When you travel to such places like South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mauritius and see the infrastructue and the beauty you'll think West Africa is a cursed region. It's not cursed, it's just the greediness of our leaders that have caused the region. But most of our leaders have travelled abroad, some were educated in the West and they know the right things to do! We better go back to the basics and find out how and why we blew it and proffer solutions if we're to remain relevant in the 21st century! From where I'm sitting in my office in a beautiful country down south, I really am sorry for the raw deal my peolpe are getting from our leaders. The electorate must determine to vote out incompetent and corrupt leaders with the power of their thumbs come 2016! I'm really peeved. Ghanaians deserve better treatment.
