As soon as I saw the heading of this article, I asked myself the same question that Obenfo posed, How many times? How many times should Ghanaians be told that either Accountant-General or MoF or the Head of Civil Service is taking steps or has taken steps to smoke out ghost names from the Govt payroll. I recall in one case that I read, there were some consultants that have been engaged to handle this situation. While I was puzzled with the issue of how many times, then I queried "who is incompetent in the entire process of weeding out ghost names? Or is it an issue of collaborated and coordinated means to 'chop mother Ghana small'? If those responsible really have the will and commitment to clear this mess, they CAN!! Please Mr Minister, in a situation where 70% of the revenue of the country is being spent on paying wages, the nation SHOULD NOT SPEND HER SCARCE RESOURCES IN PAYING WAGES TO FICTITIOUS PERSONS. Please I trust in your capacity to CLEAN THIS MESS ONCE AND FOR ALL. I am keeping a keen eye on this. The next time this issue is raised, the various civil rights organizations in the country will be mobilized to bring a case of negligence of responsibility and causing financial loss to the state of Ghana against you in the law courts of Ghana.
Thank you and God bless Ghana.

A human resource management system to solve the payment of salaries to so-called ghost workers? Unbelievable!!!
So who is actually receiving the salary of these ghost workers?
Surely, these cannot be ordinary lowly ranked members of staff. They must be senior members of staff.
Why can't the government have a census of its entire workforce? Or make departmental heads responsible for any payment to non-existing members of staff?
Is there really a political will to solve this problem?
What a waste, and how corrupt our leaders are!!!
