GHANA WILL ALWAYS TRIVIALIZE ON EVERYTHING(WEIGHTIER MATTERS)WE HAVE TO ADDRESS.
Our Honourable MR.KWAKU BOATENG has hinted a gist of them, about what GHANA NEEDED BEFORE THE OIL VENTURE COMMENCED:
GEOPHYSICS,ENGINEERING,PETROLEUM ECONOMICS,COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS AND SPECIAL LEGAL SERVICES.
The government needs to train lot of people to cover the needed posts. He went to say, steps are under-way to address these challenges.
WE LACK VISION,DISCERNMENT,UNDERSTANDING,WISDOM,ALERTNESS,INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND THE POISE TO MAKE IT,AND MAKE IT REALLY BIG.
WE HAVE TO COME OUT OF THE SLAVERY MENTALITY AND RECOGNIZE THAT WE ARE A PEOPLE,AN ENTITY,WITH A DESTINY AND A JUST,WELL DEFINED COURSE.
I was really surprised that GHANA had no SCHOOL that teaches on GOLD & DIAMOND TECHNOLOGICAL DESIGNS AND PRODUCTION,to access the world market to compete with others.
Our leaders had been bent on receiving KICKBACKS FROM FOREIGN MINING COMPANIES,WHO LOOT OUR RAW MATERIALS FOR FREE,WITH IMPUNITY.
Some African countries like NIGERIA,CHAD,MALI,BORKINA FASO, etc,who do not have much GOLD RESERVE have these schools, whilst GHANA,being the 10TH IN THE WORLD,AND 2ND IN AFRICA,had none, until just recently, some has been started at the KWAME NKRUMAH SCHOOL OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY.
And even that,it came under the joint co-operation/venture of:
GERMANY,JAPAN,THE NETHERLANDS,WORLD BANK & GHANA GOVERNMENT.
There was no GOLD REFINERY since NKRUMAH'S TIME,until just this year.
ISN'T ALL THESE A PROOF THAT GHANA LACKS INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND VISION TO SUCCEED?
God has given us everything, including the brain to utilize to do something, with what we have been given(raw materials) to make what we do not see(processed goods).
But it looks like,we rather think the legacy offered us must be sold, but not processing for our own co-operate gain.
Hence, our leaders are milking the nation,by selling the RAW MATERIALS,to the detriment of the masses.
WE NEED TO WAKE UP FROM OUR SLUMBER.
LEST,WHERE WE ARE IS WHERE WE WOULD EVER BE,UNTIL WE DECIDE,WHERE WE RATHER BE.

I disagree with what you are saying! ther are very very many Ghanaians with excellent training. The funny thing is after having enjoyed their expensive schooling these people ran away from Ghana or decide not to come back home. So what is the point ? We should try to improve our enviroment in such a way that our experts ( we have lots of them in Europe , USA ) come back home to help our mountry. There is no way to force them to serve Ghana.Unfortunately most of these chaps were trained on taxpayers Money.
